Testimonials

It has been a pleasure to be treated by Dr Nicky Kalk and Dr Maria Jalmbrant as my psychiatrist and psychologist respectively. I came to the team having suffered from multiple mental health issues, which included academic burnout, depression, anxiety and substance misuse, not to mention their precipitating factors. Nicky was willing to engage deeply and work to correct my dysfunctions and provided a range of interventions — both psychological and pharmacological in nature — that she explained from biomolecular fundamentals to clinical outcomes. One rarely comes across someone who is not only incredibly knowledgeable in their field, but is also able to transmit that information effectively to their patient. My work with Maria has been no less transformative. She was among the few professionals I have worked with who has been directly critical of my maladaptive behaviours — though not in any hostile way — and was effective in teaching me healthier ways of functioning. In two years Maria and Nicky have given me my energy and drive to live and succeed back. I did not know this was even possible and am eternally grateful. I cannot end without thanking the reception team, who were always available, incredibly helpful, and understanding.
