The Sloane Court Clinic is home to renowned psychiatrists, some of who have also cross-trained and specialised in Psychotherapy. Medical Psychotherapy is the grouped term used to describe traditional talking therapies (for example, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy or Psychodynamic Psychotherapy) when they are provided by a registered and trained Medical doctor, such as a Psychiatrist.
The core difference between Medical Psychotherapy and non-Medical Psychotherapy is that, in addition to supporting you through the therapeutic process, Medical Psychotherapists can also prescribe and monitor medications.
Medical Psychotherapy can be especially effective for those who have perhaps already visited a counsellor or therapist in the past and been active in improving their condition, but have not experienced an improvement in their situation.

Contact and Appointments
If you are seeking an appointment with a psychiatrist, you should discuss this first with your GP to obtain a referral. Referrals are also accepted from clinical psychologists and counsellors.
Once you have your referral, please do contact us via our Enquiry Form and one of our team will be in touch without delay.
Overseas referrals are warmly welcomed. We do also see individuals without a family doctor (GP), and we can help you find a private or NHS family doctor.
