Refer to Us
We aim to provide our patients with the care they need as quickly as possible. To ensure an efficient referral process into our clinical team, please follow the guidelines below.
Please note: We are an adult only service, so are only able to provide care to people over 18 years old. All patients must be in the UK at the time of their treatment.

For Clinical Professionals
To refer a patient to our clinical team, please provide the following:
- A referral letter
For effective processing, please include the patient’s contact details on the letter, if this does not interfere with any data protection policies in place
- Method of funding
Due to the range of insurers our clinicians are registered with, it is helpful if the referring doctor tells us how the patient is funding to avoid delays i.e. choosing a clinician who does not accept the prospective patient’s insurer
- GP details
If the referring doctor is not a GP, please add the patient’s GP details (or cc their GP into the referral), if the patient has consented
Please note: Depending on the referral letter content, we may request that referrals are assessed by our Psychiatry Team first, after which patients can be best placed in our Psychology Team
For Institutions
To refer members of your institution without delay, please ask them to provide:
- A GP referral letter
Although preferrable, we ask the prospective patient to self-refer using our Self-Referral Form if a GP letter is not possible.
For institutions known to the Sloane Court Clinic, you will have been provided with our Self-Referral Form to distribute where needed
If the referring coordinator has any additional information that would be beneficial for us to know, please email the clinic.

For Insurers
To make a referral on behalf of one of your clients, please provide the following:
- A referral letter from your assessment team
If this is not possible, your client can self-refer. Please contact the clinic to obtain the relevant forms to pass onto your client.
Self-referrals
To self-refer into our clinical team, please follow these steps:
- Contact the Patient Services Team via telephone or email
They will explain the referral process, answer any questions you may have, and send you the required forms to complete
Please note: It is common for patients new to the clinic to see one of our Psychiatrists initially for a full Psychiatric assessment, who are then able to refer their patient to the Psychologist best suited to their needs.
In some cases, we may request additional medical records to ensure we are best placed to be able to support you.
We are an 18 and over service and so are unable to treat any minors. We are also unable to work with any patients who are overseas, whether this is permanent or temporary.
We are unable to see patients who are currently under the care of an existing mental health team (NHS or private) unless you are looking to obtain a one-off Second Opinion.
Adult ADHD Assessments and Continuation of Care
To refer to in our team of ADHD specialists, please provide the following:
Assessments:
- A referral letter for an assessment
- A GP letter, if you have one. If not, please contact our team for a Self-Referral Form
- If you haven’t already, please discuss with your GP that you’re looking to get a private assessment for ADHD. We highly recommend doing so and specifically, asking after their approach to shared care agreements once a diagnosis is made
- Check your insurer's policy regarding assessment and follow-up treatment, if you are using an insurer to fund your care.
Continuation of Care:
- A referral letter
- An original copy of diagnostic report in full
- Documentation confirming current or previous medication; it is preferrable for this to be in English, although we can arrange translations on request
Please note: If you’re arriving in the UK from overseas, some medications that are prescribed to manage ADHD abroad are note available here.
