Dr Flora Greig

Dr Flora Greig is a consultant psychiatrist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust who specialises in working with older adults.
She is experienced in assessing and treating a wide range of common and severe mental illnesses, including mood and affective illnesses, psychosis and bipolar affective disorder, and mental disorders which arise in the context of aging and chronic physical illness. She has particular expertise in assessing memory problems and dementia, managing complex presentations of these conditions, and conducting second-opinion capacity assessments.
She completed her training in both general adult and old age psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital, and has an endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry.
She has a particular interest in medical education, and completed her Post-graduate Certificate in Education for clinical contexts during her training. She is an accredited trainer and is a clinical and educational supervisor for psychiatric resident doctors and medical students.
Currently she is Southwark borough tutor for core psychiatry trainees; responsible for their education locally. She chairs the Mental Health of Older Adults Medical Advisory Committee and has presented and published in the fields of medical education, veteran and older age mental health.
