Managing Cyclothymia
Cyclothymia, also known as cyclothymic disorder, is a type of mood disorder characterised by cycles of mild depression (lows) and hypomania (highs). The condition can be challenging to live with, as it often does not appear ‘bad’ enough to seek medical help for, but still affects a person's daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.
Common symptoms include periods of feeling low, where you may feel lethargic and disinterested; followed by periods of extreme happiness or excitement, where you may be able to go without very much sleep at all. Mood swings are also common.
If you feel that you may be struggling with Cyclothymia, we have an expert team of Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Psychotherapists who are well-versed in helping people manage and reduce their symptoms.

Contact and Appointments
If you are seeking an appointment with a psychiatrist, you should discuss this first with your GP to obtain a referral. Referrals are also accepted from clinical psychologists and counsellors.
Once you have your referral, please do contact us via our Enquiry Form and one of our team will be in touch without delay.
Overseas referrals are warmly welcomed. We do also see individuals without a family doctor (GP), and we can help you find a private or NHS family doctor.
